I know it’s late but let me blog about this. My mom and I were browsing some Yahoo! featured contents and not unsually, it was again about Michael Jackson’s. People around the world paid tribute to the King of Pop in different ways. And to our surprised, we saw the Cebu Inmates dancing again. Yes, they’re inmates even if some Yahoo! vids commenters don’t belive. Anyway, what do I have to do with them? Now these guys from Cebu Provincial Detention and Rehabilitation Center (CPDRC) who shot to global fame with their previous videos such as their Jai-Ho Dance Craze wowed again the world with a YouTube video of their “Thriller” dance as tribute to the late MJ. (fame instantly!. huh)
According to the posts at OMG!, “after being told of Jackson’s death Thursday in Los Angeles, the 1,500 inmates at the Cebu Provincial Detention and Rehabilitation Center hit the exercise yard, practicing for nine hours Friday night and into the hot hours of Saturday morning for the show. They took breaks only to eat or when it rained, said professional choreographer Gwendolyn Lador, hired by the prison to teach the inmates the dance.” Imagine that.
